L’arte è l’incontro inatteso di forme e spazi e colori che prima si ignoravano.(Fabrizio Caramagna)
Artista eclettico, spazia dall’oreficeria alla scultura, dalla pittura all’incisione, dal design alla fotografia, dal mosaico alla ceramica.
Nasce a Tivoli nel 1978, si diploma l’Istituto Statale d’Arte di Tivoli in Design del gioiello e dei metalli.
Nel 2001 frequenta l’Accademia delle Belle Arti di Roma, sezione Decorazione e successivamente si specializza in Scultura. Nel 2008 consegue l’abilitazione all’insegnamento presso l’Accademia delle Belle Arti del l’Aquila.
Dal 2000 fa parte, insieme ad altri artisti, della Com.plot S.Y.S.tem che si occupa del rapporto tra arte e architettura, e partecipano anche alla X e XI Biennale di Venezia di Architettura.
Nel 2009 è impegnato con il gruppo ’“Arte Architettura Territorio” per svolgere ricerche sull’arte visiva e social network.
Partecipa a diverse mostre collettive e riceve numerosi riconoscimenti
Organizza due mostre personali nel 2005 e nel 2008 con gioielli, sculture, dipinti e foto.
Attualmente è docente di arte e immagine presso una scuola secondaria di primo grado e insegna oreficeria nella scuola d’ Arte e dei Mestieri del Comune di Roma.
Traspare un artista a 360 gradi che opera su diverse discipline. Le opere richiamano le avanguardie del ‘900, con una rivisitazione personale e un’impeccabile capacità tecnica.
La prima è stata l’artista Valentina Fontana, docente liceale che tra l’altro mi ha suggerito d’iscrivermi all’accademia.
Il secondo è stato il noto scultore Massimo Mazzone, che mi ha coinvolto in prestigiosi progetti, fin dalle prime collaborazioni con il maestro Fuksas.
M’ispiro agli artisti del passato che scelgo in base al mio umore o agli eventi della vita.
Quando dipingo uso colori accesi, per le sculture utilizzo soprattutto metalli e cemento, nelle incisioni gioco con la geometria.
Non posso definirmi solo scultore o solo orafo perché creo opere “che abitano lo spazio e sono abitati da esser umani”. Mi occupo anche di mosaico e di fotografia.
Amo giocare con le forme così un disegno può diventare un quadro, un’istallazione un gioiello, occorre solo un po’ di fantasia…
Ho un incessante bisogno di creare, che mi spinge sempre a dare il meglio di me stesso e di approfondire la mia ricerca.
Da anni sono docente di arte e oreficeria e cerco sempre di instaurare un rapporto di fiducia con i miei allievi, di trasmettere le tecniche, i processi ed aiutarli a trovare la propria identità.
Amo profondamente l’arte per questo ho scelto, attraverso più discipline, di poterla afferrare.

Eclectic
artist, he ranges from goldsmithing to sculpture, from painting to engraving,
from design to photography, from mosaic to ceramics.
Born in
Tivoli in 1978, he graduates from the State Institute of Art in Tivoli in
Jewelry and Metal Design.
In 2001 he
attends the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in the decoration section and later
specializes in Sculpture. In 2008 he obtains a teaching qualification at the
Academy of Fine Arts in L'Aquila.
Since 2000 he
has been part, together with other artists, of the Com.plot S.Y.S.tem that
deals with the relationship between art and architecture, and they also
participate in the X and XI Venice Biennale of Architecture.
In 2009 he is
engaged with the group 'Arte Architettura Territorio' to carry out research on
visual art and social networks.
He
participates in several group exhibitions and receives numerous awards.
He organizes
two solo exhibitions in 2005 and 2008 with jewelry, sculptures, paintings and
photos.
He is
currently a teacher of art and image at a secondary school of the first degree
and teaches goldsmithing in the School of Art and Crafts of the Municipality of
Rome.
A 360-degree
artist who works on different disciplines shines through. The works recall the
avant-garde of the 1900s with a personal reinterpretation and impeccable
technical ability.
THE ARTIST TELLS HIMSELF
On my path, I
had the pleasure of meeting many teachers, among whom, I would like to recall
those who were also teachers of life.
The first was
the artist Valentina Fontana, a high school teacher who, among other things,
suggested that I enroll in the academy.
The second
was the well-known sculptor Massimo Mazzone, who involved me in prestigious
projects since the first collaborations with maestro Fuksas.
I am inspired
by the artists of the past that I choose based on my mood or the events of
life.
When I paint
I use bright colors, for sculptures I mainly use metals and concrete, in
engravings I play with geometry.
I can't just
call myself a sculptor or just a goldsmith because I create works "that
inhabit space and are inhabited by human beings." I also deal with mosaic
and photography.
I love
playing with shapes so a design can become a painting, an installation or a
jewel, you just need a little imagination...
I have an
unceasing need to create that always pushes me to give my best and deepen my
research.
For years I
have been a teacher of art and goldsmithing and I always try to establish a
relationship of trust with my students, to transmit techniques, processes and
help them find their own identity.
I deeply love art for this reason I have chosen, through multiple disciplines, to be able to grasp it.
