È quello che è riuscito a fare Danilo Pistone, in arte Neve, uno dei maggiori esponenti della Street- art italiana. Torinese, classe 1986, da anni dipinge le pareti di edifici in tutta Europa.

A soli 8 anni si avvicina alla Street Art, iniziando ad operare come writer.

Frequenta il liceo artistico e nel 2008 si laurea in Arti Visive, alla Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) di Milano, ottenendo il massimo dei voti.

Durante il periodo universitario sperimenta istallazioni e a 22 anni partecipa alla grande mostra italiana sulla Street art, “la Scala Mercalli”.

Le sue opere suscitano l’interesse dei giornalisti per capacità tecnica e per messaggi sociali, così in poco tempo si afferma tra gli artisti più rinomati.

Tra i committenti spuntano nomi di illustre società come Ikea, Eni, Campari, Disney, Fabriano e molte altre; per la Michelin di Milano realizza una parete di sette piani.

L’amore per l’arte non si ferma ai soli murales, ma realizza anche quadri che espone alla Biennale di Venezia, a Londra, a Mosca, a Parigi, a Singapore e New York e in numerose mostre.

Nel 2015 la scuola d’infanzia romana di Via Paternò, dove aveva fatto un murales contro il razzismo, prende il suo nome.

Ha realizzato opere benefiche a sostegno dei bambini abbandonati e malati, dei senzatetto e dei migranti ai quali, nel 2019 ha dedicato un muro a Lampedusa.

Neve dipinge con uno stile iperrealista, prediligendo lo sfondo nero. È evidente l’influenza di Caravaggio i cui temi rielabora in maniera personale. Tutte le sue opere sono dense di storia, di mitologia, di citazioni esoteriche, alchemiche e di molte altre discipline che caratterizzano una spiccata sensibilità. Crea immagini che nascondono messaggi enigmatici ma raggiungono il mondo interiore dello spettatore.

Il pubblico ha capito di trovarsi di fronte ad un artista particolarmente sensibile e talentuoso da conferirgli la meritata fama.

 L’ ARTISTA SI RACCONTA

Ero un ragazzino quando uscivo a “scarabocchiare” sui muri di Torino, sotto lo sguardo meravigliato degli adulti.

Ho intrapreso degli studi artistici ma, in realtà, i veri maestri li ho incontrati per strada.

Adoro dipingere sia su muri imponenti che su tele, che realizzo dopo tanti bozzetti.

Creo murales con l’uso dello spray, una tecnica che non ammette errori mentre per i quadri uso matite su legno che dipingo di nero.

In entrambi i casi lavoro a mano libera, un’impresa che richiede molto esercizio e concentrazione.

Utilizzo lo sfondo scuro per delineare i punti d’ombra e mi sono ritrovato a citare Caravaggio pensando a Goethe.

L’immagine non è altro il risultato di un elaborato studio di codici che creano spunti di riflessione.

Per me è fondamentale trasmettere messaggi che mi permettono di donare un po’ della mia anima alla gente…

This is what Danilo Pistone, aka Neve, one of the greatest exponents of Italian Street art, managed to do. Turin, born in 1986, has been painting the walls of buildings throughout Europe for years.

At just 8 years old he approaches Street Art, starting to work as a writer.

He attends the artistic high school and in 2008 he graduates in Visual Arts at the New Academy of Fine Arts (NABA) in Milan, obtaining the highest marks.

During the university period he experiments with installations and at the age of 22 participates in the great Italian exhibition on street art, "la Scala Mercalli".

His works arouse the interest of journalists in technical skills and social messages, so in a short time he establishes himself among the most renowned artists.

Among the clients are names of illustrious companies such as Ikea, Eni, Campari, Disney, Fabriano and many others; for Michelin in Milan he creates a seven-storey wall.

The love for art does not stop at murals alone, but also creates paintings that he exhibits at the Venice Biennale, in London, Moscow, Paris, Singapore and New York and numerous exhibitions.

In 2015 the Roman kindergarten of Paternò street, where he had made a mural against racism, takes its name.

He has created charitable works to support abandoned and sick children, the homeless and migrants to whom, in 2019, he dedicated a wall in Lampedusa

 Neve paints in a hyperrealist style, preferring the black background. It is evident the influence of Caravaggio whose themes are being reworked in a personal way. All his works are full of history, mythology, esoteric, alchemical and many other disciplines that characterize a marked sensitivity. He creates images that hide enigmatic messages but reach the inner world of the viewer.

The public has realized that they are facing a particularly sensitive and talented artist to give him well-deserved fame.

 THE ARTIST TELLS HIMSELF

I was a little boy when I went out to "scribble" on the walls of Turin, under the astonished gaze of adults.

I undertook artistic studies but, in reality, I met the real masters on the street.

I love painting both on imposing walls and on canvases, that I make after many sketches.

I create murals with the use of spray, a technique that does not admit mistakes, while for paintings I use pencils on wood that I paint black.

In both cases, I freehand work, a company that requires a lot of exercise and concentration.

I use the dark background to outline the shadow points and found myself quoting Caravaggio thinking of Goethe.

The image is nothing more than the result of an elaborate study of codes that create food for thought.

For me it is essential to transmit messages that allow me to give some of my soul to people...
